The Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC) at Emory University and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health are partnering to provide in-person training, as well as ongoing web-based learning resources, to prepare people to serve as Lifestyle Coaches to deliver the evidence-based National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) in Spanish!
The CDC-led National DPP is an evidence-based lifestyle change program for preventing type 2 diabetes. The year-long program helps participants make real lifestyle changes such as eating healthier, including physical activity into their daily lives, and improving problem-solving and coping skills.
Led by an expert Master Trainer, DTTAC's Lifestyle Coach training is a two-day, face to face training that will provide your organization's Lifestyle Coaches with the skills, knowledge and experience to successfully facilitate the lifestyle change program. The training is highly interactive, and participants have the opportunity to practice their skills to effectively deliver the National DPP lifestyle change program.
